WHAT IF I HAVE NEVER GUIDED PROFESSIONALLY?

Previous guiding experience isn't always necessary, but some personal outdoor experience is a MUST. You should be able to make proper decisions calmly and quickly, even amidst chaos. Being flexible and able to adapt to change is essential.

In lieu of previous experience, guides may complete our in-house training program to meet a minimum skill level required to be a trip leader. Previous experience may count toward required training. Skills can also be acquired outside of Desert Adventures.
