Favorite Trip:
Rowing my 18'er through the Grand Canyon is at the top, but I enjoyed paddling to Mexico a few years ago. I love any expedition that is several weeks long.
Izzy Collett was raised in the mountains and deserts of Utah. The great outdoors was not just someplace to be visited on vacation, but rather a way of life for her family. She owes her love of the outdoors to her Mom, who always found time for camping, hiking, or fishing.
An ACA trained and BCU certified guide, Izzy oversees all training and educational programs. She instructs Leave No Trace courses, CPR/First Aid/AED, and Wilderness First Aid, and is director of our Field Institute.
With almost 30 years paddling experience, she also dabbles in backpacking, snowboarding, biking, and ATV's. Izzy has traveled extensively in the Southwest, as well as Mexico, Alaska, British Columbia, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, and Hong Kong. Her passion to document her travels led her to a career in photography. Her photos grace the websites and walls of many local adventure companies.
Her background in the restaurant industry has helped her develop gourmet menus, with beautiful presentations for our guided tours. Her goal is to offer a premier guided service, combined with an authentic outdoor adventure.
