Attention, adventure enthusiasts! If you’re in the mood for a mind-blowing escape that combines sweet paddling, mind-boggling scenery, and hiking that’ll make your heart sing, then buckle up for an adventure that proves the Southwest is wilder than your Netflix binge! This fun, two to three-day tour will leave you with a sun-kissed glow and stories that’ll have your friends clamoring for details!

This is a two to three day tour that gives you the opportunity for a full experience. Paddle your SUP around the small coves on a beginner friendly lake. Enjoy a healthy lunch while digging your bare toes into the coral colored sand.

Once you have thoroughly explored Sand Hollow, take a short, scenic drive to Snow Canyon. Tucked quietly away in sandstone cliffs and giant black lava flows, the Red Cliffs Desert Reserve awaits. Originally established to protect the endangered desert tortoise and its habitat, the area offers fabulous hiking opportunities. Scramble over fiery red sandstone and wind your way deep into the Hidden Pinyon trail. Sage and juniper scent the air, as you trek over ancient basalt flows. You might see coyotes, quail, roadrunners, or a canyon tree frog.

You will feel the magic when you camp where the indigenous people inhabited the region from A.D. 200 to 1250, followed by Pauite Indians. Mormon pioneers later stumbled upon it while searching for lost cattle. This is the most value-packed and scenic tour you could experience on a short getaway from Vegas.

RECIPE FOR ADVENTURE:

Mix 1 part: Paddle & Play in Sand Hollow

Welcome to Sand Hollow! Picture this: a sparkling beginner-friendly lake that’s more picturesque than your favorite postcard. Paddle your stand-up paddleboard (SUP) around small idyllic coves while soaking in the jaw-dropping surroundings. Feel that refreshing water splash as you glide past vibrant scenery—it’s like Bob Ross painted this place just for you!

Add a dash of: Bliss on the Beach

After you’ve paddled your way into utopia, it’s time for a well-deserved break. Sink your bare toes into the soft, coral-colored sands, which are practically begging for some love! Unpack a scrumptious, healthy lunch fit for a champion. Whether it’s a zesty quinoa salad or a wrap powered by fresh veggies, you’ll be recharging in style—don’t forget to keep that camera ready; the Instagrammable moments are endless!

Mix in 1 Part: Scenic Drive to Snow Canyon!

After a delightful day at Sand Hollow, we’ll take a little scenic jaunt over to Snow Canyon, where adventure awaits amidst the landscape masterpiece of sandstone cliffs and majestic black lava flows.  You might think you’ve left Earth and landed on Mars when you see the stunning red cliffs! Originally established to protect the endangered desert tortoise and its habitat (cute little guys), this area offers hiking trails that are hotter than a summer day in Vegas! Strap on your hiking boots as we scramble over fiery red sandstone and wind our way into the Hidden Pinyon trail.

Feel the invigorating breeze on your face and take a deep breath—the air is infused with the delightful scents of sage and juniper. As you traverse ancient basalt flows, keep your eyes peeled for some local wildlife! Will you catch a glimpse of coyotes, quail, roadrunners, or the elusive canyon tree frog? Spoiler alert: The roadrunners are a bit fame-hungry; they might try to steal the show!

Mix in some: Camping Under a Million Stars!

As the sun dips below the horizon, we’ll set up camp where the indigenous people roamed from A.D. 200 to 1250, followed by the Paiute Indians. Can you imagine the stories these ancient places could tell! Then, when Mormon pioneers stumbled upon this breathtaking site while searching for lost cattle (who knew cows could be such adventurers?), this area became a slice of history that you’ll be a part of tonight.

Gather around the campfire, share some ghost stories, or just revel in the serenity of the desert night. The spaces between the stars will make you feel all kinds of magical—even the desert spirits might want to join your circle for some late-night chats!

Now Add in:  More Adventures!

On your final day, rise and shine as the sun paints the desert in vibrant hues of orange and pink! No, you’re not dreaming, this is just your life now! Embrace the beauty of the desert and go for one last hike—let the adventure continue as you explore more of Snow Canyon’s hidden gems.

Final Taste:  An Adventure of a Lifetime

What are you waiting for? This is the ultimate value-packed tour that proves you don’t need a long getaway to have a blast. It’s a short trip from Vegas that’ll transform into an epic escape filled with laughter, fun, and majestic landscapes that will stay in your heart long after you return home. Get ready to paddle, hike, and camp your way to memories that will make you the envy of your friends!
